Biography

Cellist Nguyễn Tấn Anh graduated with distinction in Performance and Music Pedagogy from the Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow, Russia, in 1988, under the mentorship of Professors A. Georgian and L. Evgrafov.
Throughout his artistic career, he has successfully performed numerous solo, chamber, and symphonic concerts in Russia, Thailand, Laos, Japan, as well as in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and various other locations across Vietnam. In May 2009, he, along with the HBSO string ensemble from the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra, delivered impressive performances at schools and concert halls in Kanazawa, Japan. In recognition of his contributions to national music, he was awarded the title of “Merited Artist” in 2007.
Nguyễn Tấn Anh has held significant positions such as solo cellist, principal cellist, Symphony Director, and Deputy Director of Music at the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra. He is also a member of the Saigon String Quartet. Since 2014, he has been teaching at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and regularly collaborates with cultural channels of Ho Chi Minh City Television in performances and recordings.
