Biography
Xinying, a native of Shenyang, China, began her musical journey at the age of five with formal piano studies. Her talent and dedication led to her acceptance into the prestigious High School of the Shenyang Conservatory of Music at just 11 years old, where she continued to hone her skills in piano performance.
Now based in Singapore, she is a pianist and music educator with over experience in teaching, performance, and accompaniment.
Xinying holds a Master’s in Music Performance with distinction from the London College of Music (University of West London) and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Piano Performance by the University of Wales (2008). She also holds a Diploma in Music Performance under full scholarship from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (2007)
Her achievements include the Tan Chin Tuan Creative Merit Award, Yamaha Scholarship, and prizes in competitions organized by NAFA and Trinity College London. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of musicians, blending technical precision with artistic expression in her approach.
